1 This is the last Will and Testament of me
2 Isabella Croasdell
3 of Bouth in the County of Lancaster Widow I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary
4 expenses to be paid as soon as may be after my decease I direct all and Singular my real and personal
5 estate to be converted into money and divided into five shares which I give and bequeath as follows that
6 is to say one share to my daughter Elizabeth Barrow One share to my daughter Jane Turner (in case
7 she comes to England to receive it within twelve calendar months after my decease) One share to my daughter
8 Frances Grisedale One share to my son John Croasdell and one share to the children of my deceased son
9 Henry equally share and share alike when and as they respectively attain the age of twenty one years
10 I direct that in case my daughter Jane Turner shall not come to England within the time mentioned
11 aforesaid and claim her share then the share shall be divided equally between and amongst her
12 aforesaid brother and sisters and the children of my deceased son Henry (such last mentioned
13 children taking amongst them only one fourth part thereof) And I declare and direct that in case
14 of the death of any of my said children or grandchildren without leaving lawful issue the share or
15 shares of him her or them so dying shall go to his her or their brothers and sisters and the issue of such
16 as shall be dead such issue taking per stirpes et non per capita I appoint my said son John
17 Croasdell and Benjamin Townsend of Barrow in Furness Cabinet Maker Executors of this my
18 Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of August one
19 thousand eight hundred and seventy
20 Signed by the said Testator as and for her last Will and Testament in the
21 presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the *
22 presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the same being
23 first read over and explained to her

26 Proved at Lancaster the Sixteenth day of January 1874 by the oath of
27 Benjamin Townsend one of the Executors named in the Will to whom
28 Administration was granted Power reserved of making the like grant to
29 John Croasdell son of the deceased the other Executor named in the said Will
30 The Testator Isabella Croasdell was late of Bouth in the county of Lancaster Widow
31 and died on the Seventh day of December 1873 at Bouth aforesaid
