Thomas Henry Croasdale and Jane Rigg

Thomas Henry Croasdale was the youngest son of James Croasdell and Eleanor Coward. He was born at Haverthwaite on 15 April 1871 and baptised there on 14th May. He was born about 2 weeks after the 1871 census was taken and for the next 3 census years in 1881, 1891 and 1901 he was living with his parents, and various brothers and sisters, at the family farm in Haverthwaite. On the 30th April 1902 he married Jane Rigg at St Luke's Church, Lowick. Jane's family came from Lowick (Lancashire) and she was born there on 22 January 1875. Thomas died, aged 71, on 3 February 1943 at Crake Side and was buried at Lowick

Jane died at Crake Side, Sparkbridge on 21 June 1949 at the age of 74 and was also buried at Lowick. She left a will naming her son and daughter as executors

Thomas and Jane had twins, a boy and a girl. As they have living descendants, information has been kept to a minimum on current generations but may be expanded or illustrated if the families wish.
